Story
Hi everyone!
I'm always keen to try new sporting events but am keen to raise some money this time too!
Late in 2013, both my mum and another close family member were found to have abnormal mammograms. After several painful procedures, one diagnosis of breast cancer, the other an inconclusive result requiring further tests, both are cancer free at the moment. However, if not for the mammogram screening program for women over 50 every two years, these health concerns might not have been picked up and treated so quickly and would have had much more dire outcomes.
Please support the National Breast Cancer Foundation http://www.nbcf.org.au/ in order to continue research into Breast Cancer treatments.
I'm challenging myself and doing a Triathlon in Triathlon Pink Melbourne on 26th January 2014. Since the first Traithlon Pink event in 2006, over $1 million has been raised for the fight against Breast Cancer.
